91重口 has approval from the State Board for Educator Certification to prepare candidates for teacher certification in the following content area via the ATCP:

PRIMARY

CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION

  1. Trade and Industrial Education (Grades 6-12)

Trades and Industrial Education certificates require work experience.聽 For initial certification, you must meet the requirements for becoming a classroom teacher in Texas.聽 Career and Technical Education Chart TAC 233.14(f)(1) requires that candidates seeking CTE certification based on聽 skill and experience:

A college degree is not required- candidates must complete an approved EPP

  • Option I: A degree from an accredited institution with two years of full-time wage-earning experience within the past ten years in an approved occupation for the classes the candidate will be teaching
  • Option II 1. An associate degree from an accredited institution with two years of full-time wage-earning experience within the past ten years in an approved occupation for the classes the candidate will be teaching
  • Option III: A high school diploma or equivalent with five years of full-time wage-earning
  • experience within the past ten years in an approved occupation for the classes you will be teaching
  • Eligible military experience may be used in lieu of civilian experience; your EPP will review for eligibility

Licensure or certification is required. Current licensure by a state or nationally recognized accrediting agency in any approved occupations for the classes the candidate will be teaching; or a passing score on the . Cosmetology teachers approved under Options I or II must satisfy the following additional requirements: Option I: Have three years of full-time wage- earning experience as a licensed cosmetologist-Hold a current cosmetology instructor’s license
